Stephen G. Smaldore, D.O.


Dr. Steve Smaldore grew up in Prince Georges County, Md. and went to undergraduate school at Loyola University in Baltimore, Md. He and Dr. Greg Dohmeier completed their pre-med education at Loyola University.

He then attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he met Dr. Kellie Smaldore. He received his degree as well as married Dr. Kellie Smaldore on May 21, 1988. Dr. Smaldore then completed a year of rotating internship at St. Josephs Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Smaldore then completed a family practice residency at Franklin Square Hospital. Upon the completion of the residency, he and Dr. Kellie Smaldore started Smaldore Family Practice Associates April 1, 1992 at Bright Oaks Courtyard. The office moved to its current location on Old Emmorton Rd. in 2006.

Dr. Kellie and Steve Smaldore live in Bel Air, Md. with their three sons John (J.T.), Devin, and Anthony. Dr. Steve Smaldore has been actively involved in the community especially in conjunction with The Harford Day School and John Carroll Catholic High School.

Dr. Smaldore has coached for both the Churchville and Bel Air rec councils for more than eighteen years. He has coached soccer, lacrosse and basketball. He has been both a travel and AAU basketball coach. His interests include music, enjoying family and friends and playing basketball.
